Points in Competition - Barrington Trophy (Captain to advise (confidential))

: The John Barrington Trophy acknowledges the individual or individual whom have accumulated the most points for Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club in Senior State competition for that season. Senior State competition is U14 to Open. Individual events are the mainstay, however JB also felt team events could be included in the accumulation of points for an individual if required specifically when there is a points tie for individual events. The points allocated to a team result would be
divided by the number of participants ie: 1st place Board Rescue = 6 points, therefore 3 point each, 1st place Surf Teams = 6 points, therefore 1.5 points each etc. The Barrington trophy relates to the State Championships - including competitions such as board riding, first aid, R&R, endurance etc
