Age Groups

Juniors and Youth are divided into age groups. A child’s group for the entire season is determined by their age on the 30 September prior to the season starting. If your child has a birthday during the season, they remain in the group that they started the season in.

Junior members are required to wear a coloured cap while involved in the Club junior activities. The coloured cap program is designed for:

• Safety – so that the child is easily identified in the surf

• Organisation – enables each age group to be easily located

• Familiarisation – all club members must wear club caps in interclub carnivals.

Each member will be issued with an appropriately coloured cap at the beginning of the season. The cap must be returned to your age group manager when the season’s activities are complete.
