Welcome to Cottesloe Surf Club Season 2009-2010. This season we are going to improve our communication to all members through regular emails so you can keep up to date on what’s happening from week to week and age group as well as Club information. If you’re an existing member, welcome back to the Cottesloe Surf Club and if you’re a new member, a big warm welcome to you. We are looking forward to seeing old and new faces this coming season.
This year Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club is 100! This makes us the oldest surf club in Western Australia and the second oldest in Australia, Bondi beat us to that claim but only just! As The Premier Club we have a history to be proud of and a future to look forward to. The future of Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club lies within its youngest members. The club recognises the importance of developing our youth and has designed activities to give them skills and confidence in the surf and beyond. This page gives information on the organisation of its junior and youth section and gives information on the activities available.
The kids of the surf club are divided into juniors, 5-14 years, and youth, 15-19 years. Whether you are interested in keeping fit, making friends, or a keen competitor there is a place for everyone at Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club. However as our name suggests, our core function is Surf Life Saving and we would like to see all our Nippers eventually to become Patrolling members.

Sunday Morning Activities
Each Sunday morning throughout the season we have board training which starts at 8am. All junior members should meet at boat shed. It’s a great opportunity to get extra training for the season and you will also meet other members from different age groups. Training for all levels of skills ranges from beginners and advanced, Minnows to Youth members are welcome; you can also ask for your parents to join in.
We then all meet in the courtyard of the Club at 8.55am for announcements and club information. You will proceed to your age group manager who will be holding a large lollypop with the corresponding colour cap that you will be wearing. Coloured caps will be handed out on the first surf club day. No cap means no activities; this is so the age group manager knows where all the members of the group are. Click here to see information and the colours for each age group.
Sunscreen, water bottle and coloured cap are required each week. Cottesloe apparel is now available at Mainpeak www.mainpeak.com.au 2A Railway Street, Cottesloe. We encourage both Juniors and parents to be proud of your club and wear the club apparel. You can visit online and best to get your club apparel nice and early before the season gets underway.
