To run a successful club we require volunteers. Volunteers assist with the Nippers’ program, at competitions, as well as staffing the apparel shop and Cott Cafe throughout the summer season.
Volunteers are needed as:
• Age Group Managers for Nipper groups
• Parent/adult helpers for Nippers
• Water safety personnel
• Competition officials and assistants
• Apparel shop assistants
• Cott Cafe assistants
• Club social event assistance
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please read the member screening policy here and contact the club to express your interest. When we employ volunteers, especially those who have contact with minors during Surf Life saving activities, we ensure we follow the attached member screening policy.
Individual surf clubs have a duty of care to provide a requisite number of people on an ongoing basis for weekly surf club activities as well as carnivals and championships.
Clubs that do not meet the requirements for officials and water safety personnel as determined by Surf Life Saving Western Australia (SLSWA), will be ineligible for competitions and championship attendance.
