Cottesloe SLSC spent many years sourcing the funds required to build the existing clubhouse located atop Mudurup Rocks at the southern end of the beach. The ground level of the clubhouse comprises a grassed courtyard, the “Cott Cafe”, a gym, training room, change rooms and the administration office.
The upper level features the spacious Don Morrison room and outdoor deck both with spectacular views of the ocean and coastline. A bar and kitchen, as well as the smaller Pines Room are also located on the upper floor. Both the Don Morrison and Pines rooms are available for function and event hire. Bookings are taken by contacting the venue hire coordinator at email@example.com.
Surf Life Saving patrols operate from the club’s boat shed which is located under the Indiana Tea House. This area is also used to store patrol and competition equipment which includes IRBs (Inflatable Rescue Boats), boards, surf boats and skis. Additionally, the boat shed houses the club’s first aid room which is a vital part of the life saving service provided by the Cottesloe Surf Life Saving.
Cottesloe SLSC is open all year round. However, volunteer patrols are limited to the season which runs between October and March. An abundance of members visit the club to make use of the gym, have a coffee or hot chocolate at the “Cott Cafe” or go for an invigorating early morning dip. Surf boat, board, IRB and ski training are some activities which continue throughout the year as do a myriad of social events. Cottesloe SLSC members like to keep the Club active year round and love seeing new faces enjoying club life.
