In a range of sizes for men, boys, ladies and girls the shorts are $50 each.

If your child has missed the pool proficiency swim that the Club organised, they will need to be signed off by a registered swimming teacher.
We cannot let nippers into the water until we have seen that they are able to perform the set swimming distance in a pool (this is a Surf Life Saving Australia Policy).

Please note that swimming certificates are not accepted, it must be a signed letter from an approved swimming teacher.  

Patrol Roster 2011/12 - This document lists all members within each patrol and your team’s patrol dates/times. Note, your patrol is assigned all dates listed, not just the ones next to your particular name.
Patrol Calendar 2011/12 - This document is a seasonal calendar showing the months and the patrols per day.

Each member is encouraged to keep their own copy of these documents so that you’re aware of all your rostered patrols. Each member is required to attend their allocated sessions. If you forsee that you may miss a couple of patrols over the season, please get in touch with your Patrol Captain as soon as possible. They will then help you to find substitutes for those patrols. Every effort will be made to assist you, however communication is the key.

If you don’t tell us about a particular circumstance that prevents you from attending a rostered patrol and you don’t tell your Patrol Captain until after the actual patrol has occurred, you will be marked hours down and will have to make these hours up at a later date, in addition to the rest of your rostered patrols.

Most people on this roster have been contacted via SMS or email. If your name does not appear on this list, please get in touch with Chris Inglis, our Patrol Officer. He will then help to add you to a patrol group. Also, don’t assume that because your name isn’t on the list that you are not required to do patrols. If you haven’t discussed your situation with Chris yet, please do so as soon as possible.

Under 11 Report

Trigg beach provided a great venue for the State Junior ‘Qualifier’. The conditions were hot with no wind and a small 1/2 – 1 foot wave breaking on the bank.

The board race, board rescue, beach sprint and beach flag races were run in heats with limited numbers (between 12-23) qualifying for the State Championships on the 19th and 20th March at Sorrento beach.  Spots were at a premium with 90+ u/11 girls and 90+ u/11 boys from all clubs competing for the limited places.

It was pleasing to see Cottesloe perform so well both on the beach and in the water.

A big thank you to the parents and helpers on the day. Mike, Steve, Jeremy, Mark…. too many to mention. A great effort.

In total Cottesloe had 42 x u/11’s compete. A great group of kids with many already showing a high level of lifesaving skill.

Most importantly they were a great team, tried their best, supported each other and had fun. 

Focus now turns to the State Championship where the finalists from the qualifiers will complete their events and all Juniors will again line up to compete in the following events:

• Surf Race (Swim)
• Cameron Relay (1 x Board, 1 x Swim, 2 x runners)
• Board Relay (3 x board paddlers)
• Beach Relay (4 x runners)
• Ironman/ Ironwoman.

All under 11’s will be back in training starting with board training on Saturday @ 3pm and normal Sunday activities from 9am @ Cott Beach.

All Cottesloe Members are invited into come and watch the future of the Club perform at the Junior States (19/20 March). It will be a great event to watch or maybe you can help in just a small way (set up of tents, water safety, advice, encouragement for the kids) it will all make a difference.
